A sheet pan dinner is kind of like a one pot meal but on a baking sheet. It’s a meal that anyone can make- no fancy equipment is needed just a cookie sheet! The best part is that there is no clean up which is really why I love this meal! So here’s what you’re going to do…
Pick your favorite protein and some veggies you like, (potatoes are a must for my family) toss them in some olive oil and spices then throw everything onto the sheet pan and roast in the oven at a high temperature and that’s really it! Did I say it was easy? Its easy, really I promise! Now go try it!

- 6 cloves garlic, sliced in half
- 1 package Turkey Sausage (I like Hillshire Farms Smoked turkey Sausage, but any kind you like will work here! Aidells Chicken Sausage is also great. Any variety)

- 1 tsp garlic powder, divided

- Dash red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp salt, divided
- 1/2 tsp black pepper, divided
***OTHER VEGETABLES TO TRY***
- Green Beans, Asparagus, Zucchini, Sweet Potatoes, Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, Cherry tomatoes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Cut potatoes into 1/2 inch cubed pieces
3. Add potatoes to a large bowl and toss with 1-2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp parsley, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper and a dash of red pepper flakes. Stir until evenly coated.
4. Add to sheet pan. (Save bowl for rest of veggies.) Making sure to spread potatoes out evenly so all are touching the pan. This is to ensure browning.
5. Bake potatoes for 15-20 minutes and remove from oven. Stir potatoes before adding sausage and veggies to the pan.
While potatoes are cooking prep/chop sausage, remaining vegetables and slice garlic.
7. Slice sausage into 1 inch rounds. Set aside.
8. In the bowl you used earlier for the potatoes add vegetables and sliced garlic and toss with 1-2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp parsley, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper and a dash of red pepper flakes. Stir until evenly coated.
9. Before adding vegetables to the sheet pan push potatoes to the outer edges of the pan. Making space in the middle of the pan for the vegetables. Now add vegetables to the center of the pan.
10. Add cut sausage to pan with veggies and potatoes.
11. Return pan to oven. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes more until veggies and potatoes are golden brown, roasted and fork tender.
***Cooking time depends on your oven and how large you cut your veggies. Smaller vegetable will cook faster. Also note that the less stuff you have on your pan the quicker it will cook. If your pan is too crowded the vegetables will steam and not really roast. Please consider using 2 sheet pans to avoid this. I have found the potatoes can really take the longest to cook!
12. Serve hot. You might want to serve some quinoa, brown rice or pasta on the side.
Notes
- Try and cut all your veggies about the same size. Cooking time depends on your oven and how large you cut your veggies. Smaller cut vegetables will cook faster.
